Agreement between the General Coordination for Accreditation of Inmetro and Petrobras - tool for the management improvement of the accreditation of CBs accredited by Cgcre

The General Coordination for Accreditation of Inmetro (Cgcre) is signing an agreement with Petrobras (one of the greatest energy companies in the world) for the exchange of information about ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Petrobras performs many second-party assessments in certified organisations that supply goods and services. Information about the findings of these assessments will be available to Cgcre and will serve as a feedback for the accreditation body providing the conduction of a more objective and straightforward assessment of certification bodies.
As a compensation Petrobras will have direct access to the Inmetro managed database of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified companies. This access will allow Petrobras to update its Register Portal in a more agile way and with higher accuracy with the information regarding certification such as: address, certified scope and certification validity. These actions will indirectly impact the supply market, inducing the improvement of its management processes.
