Election of the EA Executive Membership
Election of the EA Executive members took place at the 27th EA General Assembly held on 25 and 26 May 2011 in Berlin, Germany, which come into effect on a two-year mandate starting on 1 January 2012.
Graham Talbot (UKAS, UK) and Daniel Pierre (COFRAC, France) were re-elected as the EA Chair and Vice-Chair respectively.
The majority of EA Executive Members were also re-elected, except for Norbert Müller, replaced by Rolf Straub (SAS, Switzerland) as the Chair of the Inspection Committee, and Christina Waddington, replaced by Paolo Bianco (ACCREDIA, Italy) as the Chair of the Laboratory Committee. Norbert and Christina had indicated their wish to step down after busy and successful mandates.
Hanspeter Ischi, who expertly led the TFG dedicated to the revision of EA Articles of Association and Rules of Procedure, was also replaced by Ignacio Pina (ENAC, Spain) as an additional member of the Executive Committee.
The new Executive members were welcomed at the Executive Committee meeting held on 22 November 2011 in Warsaw, while the outgoing members were warmly congratulated for their successful contribution.
The EA General Assembly in May 2011 elected Jĭrĭ RUZICKA (CAI, Czech Republic) as Chair of the Financial Oversight Committee, as well as Filippo TRIFILETTI (ACCREDIA, Italy) and Claudio BOFFA (NAB-MALTA, Malta) as FOC members, for a mandate starting on 26 May 2011 until 31 December 2013.
