The Argentine Accreditation Body (OAA) has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security under the Comprehensive Plan for Employment Promotion, to carry out actions related to the accreditation of personnel certification bodies (ISO / IEC 17024).

The certification of persons is a mechanism to ensure that those who undergo a process of evaluation and certification are competent to perform a task or set of specific tasks, from technical to life skills. It ensures knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences.

The accreditation of personnel certification bodies provides confidence that the certified person meets the requirements of the certification scheme (e.g., workers in the areas of construction, mechanical, metallurgical, food etc.) because it was assessed by an impartial and independent process.

Certification of persons benefits both the employee and the employer in the following ways:

The worker gets formal recognition of their work skills and improves their chances of employment.

Employers benefit because skill certification facilitates the recruitment process and provides confidence in the abilities of their workers who will be productive from day one, plus, it conveys confidence to customers.

It also decreases the risk of accidents during work processes and consequently lowers the cost of insurance.

The economy as a whole benefits because certification ensures the better quality of product and process, increases productivity and therefore offers greater competitiveness.
